We had a great time at the Philly Folk Fest this year. The Woody Guthrie workshop was a great success and many people told us it was the highlight their festival. Philly Folk Fest

We are very happy to announce we will be playing the Philadelphia Folk Festival this year! We will be playing Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon we will be hosting a special Woody Guthrie workshop. The word has gotten around about our Woody Guthrie 100th Birthday show earlier this month and we have been invited to do a similar showcase at the festival. Many guests will be joining us including Hezekiah Jones, Bob Beach, Mary Gauthier, John Francis, Michael Braunfeld an several more TBA.

The festival runs August 17th – 19th in Schwenksville, PA. More details at the Philadelphia Folk festival website.

We’ve been working with our friend and engineer Mike Bardzik recently at his new barn/studio location in Downingtown, PA. We wanted to let a song loose a little early. You can listen and download below.

Mason Porter release new single.

May 30th, 2012 – West Chester, PA – Mason Porter released a new single “Blue Eyes Smile”, today. The song is available for free download at masonporter.com. The track was engineered and mixed by Mike Bardzik, who recorded the bands 2010 release Story Of the Rifle. The band has been working recently at his newly converted barn in Downingtown, Pa. Upcoming performances include the Appel Farm Arts and Music Festival this Saturday and a July 8th show at the World Cafe Live celebrating the 100th birthday of Woody Guthrie.
